Man dead in crash between box truck and big rig on 605 Freeway in Long Beach, CHP says

A man died Wednesday following a crash between a box truck and a big rig on the 605 Freeway near Wardlow Road in Long Beach, according to the CHP.

One person, who authorities described as a Hispanic man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Multiple freeway lanes were shut down for hours are authorities investigated the crash.
All lanes have reopened as of 4:30 p.m.
