As tens of thousands of people are being forced to evacuate their homes due to the raging fires across Los Angeles County, some Long Beach businesses and organizations are stepping up to help.

At RightMealz on Thursday, Sonny Warner of Seal Beach was one of a few people donating multiple bags of clothes, hygiene items, diapers and children's toys to fire victims.

"It was heartbreaking to watch everything online yesterday," she said. "I was in Malibu on Sunday. I can't sit and, like, not go and get things that are so easy for me."

At least 130,000 residents in the Los Angeles County area are under evacuation orders, the Los Angeles Times reported. Fire officials said this week that at least five people have died in the fires, dozens more are injured, and between 4,000 and 5,000 structures have burned as firefighting resources continue to be stretched thin across the county.

The Palisades and Eaton fire have burned through a combined 27,834 acres, according to the CalFire website, which states firefighters have been unable to contain the blazes. The Hurst fire, which has burned about 855 acres has been 10% contained. The Lidia fire, at 348 acres burned, is 40% contained. The Sunset fire has burned through 43 acres and has yet to be contained.
