Long Beach police say they’re investigating an afternoon shooting near 14th Street Park that left a man injured.
Few details about what led up to the shooting were immediately available, but police said the shooting happened in the area of 14th Street and Pacific Avenue around 3:13 p.m.
The victim checked himself into a local hospital with a gunshot wound to the lower body and is in stable condition, authorities said.
Officers responded to the area where the shooting happened but didn’t find a suspect, police said. No other injuries were reported.
