Man stabbed to death near Los Angeles River, police say
Police say the victim was stabbed to death Saturday morning during an argument with another man near the area of Long Beach Boulevard and the Los Angeles River.
Police say they’re investigating the fatal stabbing of a man Saturday morning near the Los Angeles River and Long Beach Boulevard.
The victim was arguing with another man in the area around 8:50 a.m. when that man stabbed him, according to the Long Beach Police Department. The suspect then left the scene before police arrived, the LBPD said.
Authorities responded to the crime scene and found the man with a stab wound to the upper body, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
His identity was not immediately released as the Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s office works to notify his family.
Police are asking anyone with information on the stabbing to contact detectives at 562-570-7244.

A woman was shot in Long Beach’s Alamitos Beach neighborhood and police are still looking for a suspect, authorities said. The victim, according to the Long Beach Police Department, was arguing with another woman in the area of Hermosa Beach and Third Street around 1:30 a.m.
