Suspect arrested in fatal shooting near Cambodia Town, police say
Police say 29-year-old Xabian Che Brown of Temecula shot and killed Tyrone Parks III during a dispute on May 8.
A Temecula man has been arrested in connection to the fatal shooting of another man near Cambodia Town last week, police announced Thursday.
Long Beach Police say 29-year-old Xabian Che Brown was in the 800 block of Atlantic Avenue on May 8 when he got into a dispute with 28-year-old Long Beach resident Tyrone Parks III.
It’s unclear what the argument was about, though the LBPD said both men knew each other.
Ultimately, Brown shot Parks multiple times in the upper body before fleeing, authorities said. Parks died at the scene.
Police later identified Brown as a suspect and took him into custody on suspicion of murder, being an ex-felon in possession of a firearm and being an ex-felon in possession of ammunition, police said. His bail was set at $2 million, according to the LBPD.
The investigation is ongoing.
