Police say the shooting happened around 11 p.m. near the intersection of East 60th Street and Atlantic Avenue.

Police are investigating a shooting in North Long Beach that left two men injured Thursday night, authorities said.

Long Beach police say they responded to the area of East 60th Street and Atlantic Avenue around 11 p.m following reports of gunshots in the area. After finding evidence of a shooting, police learned that two men had suffered gunshot wounds, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

Both men took themselves to local hospitals. Their wounds were not considered life threatening, according to the LBPD.

There is currently no suspect information, but the circumstances and motive for the shooting remain under investigation, according to police.
