Around 200,000 race fans flocked to Downtown Long Beach for the roar of motors and the smell of high-octane fuel and burning rubber (and also probably beer).
Over the weekend, the city celebrated the golden anniversary of the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, which has been speeding through the streets of Downtown since 1975.
On Sunday, IndyCar driver Kyle Kirkwood, 27, won the Long Beach race — the third in the NTT IndyCar Series' 2025 season — for the second time in his career. The win ended driver Alex Palou's two-win streak that started the season.

The final day of the three-day race weekend also featured a sports car race as part of the GT America Series, Robby Gordon's Stadium Super Trucks flying through the air and plenty of fanfare — and fans.
