Man refuses to cooperate with investigation after being shot in North Long Beach, police say
The man was shot around 1:45 a.m. somewhere in the area of Artesia Boulevard and Atlantic Avenue, according to authorities.

A man was shot in North Long Beach early Friday morning, but refused to cooperate with the investigating officers, according to police.
Officers responded just after 1:45 a.m. to the area of Artesia Boulevard and Atlantic Avenue following reports of a shooting in the area, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
When the officers arrived, the man was already being treated by Long Beach Fire Department personnel for a gunshot wound to the upper body, authorities said.
He was then taken to a local hospital for treatment, police said, adding that his wound was not considered life-threatening.
Police said that while they were able to locate the crime scene, the man refused to give officers information about what happened.
The circumstances of the shooting, including a motive and suspect information, are still under investigation, according to the LBPD.
