Man pistol-whips person, fires shot into air Christmas night, police say
Two men were arguing in the 3400 block of Stanbridge Avenue when one of them pistol-whipped the other and then fire multiple shots into the air, police said.
A man was hospitalized Wednesday night after being pistol-whipped by another man during an argument in East Long Beach, according to police.
Long Beach Police say the incident happened at around 11:19 p.m. in the 3400 block of Stanbridge Avenue.
There, the two men were arguing when one of them pistol-whipped the other and then fired multiple shots into the air, police said.
When officers arrived, Long Beach Fire personnel were in the process of taking the man who'd been pistol-whipped to a local hospital, authorities said. It's unclear what kind of injuries he suffered, but police said they were not considered life-threatening.
No arrest was made as the gunman left the scene before the officers got to the scene, police said.
The investigation is ongoing, according to authorities.
