Shooting in North Long Beach leaves man hospitalized, police say
The man was near Artesia Boulevard and the Los Angeles River Sunday night when he was shot, according to authorities.
Police are investigating a shooting in North Long Beach that left a man hospitalized Sunday night.
Long Beach police say a man was near Artesia Boulevard and the Los Angeles River around 9:46 p.m. when he was he shot.
Long Beach Fire Department personnel took the man to a local hospital where he was treated for multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body, authorities said.
The manβs wounds were not considered life-threatening, according to the LBPD.
The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived, police said.
Suspect information, motive and the circumstances of the shooting are still under investigation, according to police.
