Detectives are investigating a shooting in Lakewood that left one man dead and two more people injured Sunday night, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
LASD officials said the shooting took place around 8:15 p.m. in the area of Alburtis Avenue and 207th Street, which is just south of Del Amo Boulevard.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting are still unclear, but authorities said one man was pronounced dead at the scene while two other people were taken to hospital. They are in stable condition, they added.
The shooting comes after a 17-year-old girl was fatally shot and six other teenagers were wounded at a party in Signal Hill Saturday night. The LASD is also investigating that shooting.
No suspect information has been made available for either deadly shooting.
The LASD said that anyone with information should call detectives at 323-890-5500.
