North Long Beach stabbing leaves man hospitalized, police say

The victim was arguing with another man around 6:39 p.m. Friday when he was stabbed, according to authorities.

Police are investigating a stabbing in North Long Beach that left a man hospitalized Friday night.

Long Beach police say the suspect approached the victim in the 6900 block of Atlantic Avenue around 6:39 p.m., argued with him briefly and then stabbed him.

Long Beach Fire Department personnel took the victim to a local hospital, where he was treated for stab wounds to his upper and lower body, according to authorities. The man's injuries were not considered life-threatening, police said.

The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived, according to the LBPD.

The investigation into the stabbing is ongoing, police said.
