Need to check your voter registration, drop off a ballot, or plan to vote in person? Here’s the info you need
Monday is the deadline to register for the Nov. 5 election; mail ballots are out now and in-person voting begins Saturday.

Vote-by-mail ballots for the Nov. 5 presidential election were sent to voters two weeks ago, but it’s still possible to register, and people who haven’t returned mail ballots have time to fill them out or cast their votes at a polling place.
Monday is the last day to register before the election; after that, people can register and vote, but county election officials will verify registration information before counting those ballots.
Two places to check your registration are the California Secretary of State’s website and the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk’s site.\
The Long Beach City Clerk also has tools and information for voters, and the Long Beach Watchdog continues to cover issues that local voters will decide, like this explanation of city Measure JB (city hiring practices), an unusual tax measure that likely wouldn’t cost residents, or a nearly $1 billion bond measure for Long Beach Community College District.
Mail ballots can be returned via the U.S. Postal Service or at any of the Registrar’s drop boxes – find a location here.
Or cast a vote in person at any polling place starting Saturday, Oct. 26; a search tool for vote centers is at this link.
