Man stabbed during early morning argument in North Long Beach, police say

The victim was stabbed by a man in the 6700 block of Lewis Avenue just after 2 a.m., according to authorities.

Police are investigating a stabbing in North Long Beach that left a man hospitalized early Sunday morning.

Long Beach police say the victim was arguing with another man in the 6700 block of Lewis Avenue around 2:09 a.m. when he was stabbed.

The victim went to a local hospital in stable condition, where he was treated for a single stab wound to his upper body, authorities said. The wound was not considered life-threatening, according to police.

The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived, police said.

The investigation into the stabbing is ongoing, according to the LBPD.
