Man shot to death in North Long Beach, police say
The man was near Plymouth Street and Cedar Avenue around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday when he was shot, according to authorities.
Police are investigating the death of a man who was shot in North Long Beach around noon Wednesday.
Long Beach police say the man was Plymouth Street and Cedar Avenue around 12:32 p.m. when he was shot.
Long Beach Fire Department personnel took the man to a local hospital, where he later died of his injuries, authorities said.
The man's identity is being withheld while the Los Angeles County Department of the Medical Examiner works to identify him and notify his next of kin, according to the LBPD.
The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived, police said.
Suspect information, the circumstances of the shooting and motive are all under investigation, police added.
