Man in critical condition after being shot in West Long Beach, police say
The gunman shot the victim during an argument just after midnight in the 2500 block of Santa Fe Avenue, the Long Beach Police Department said.

A man was hospitalized in critical condition Saturday morning after being shot in West Long Beach, according to police.
The gunman shot the victim during an argument just after midnight in the 2500 block of Santa Fe Avenue, the Long Beach Police Department said. The gunman then left the scene, heading in an unknown direction, they added.
Officers arrived at the scene around 12:11 a.m. and found the man with multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body, according to the LBPD.
Police say Long Beach Fire Department personnel took the man to a local hospital for treatment, adding that though he was critically wounded, he is currently in stable condition.
It’s unclear what led up to the argument or what it was about. The investigation is ongoing, the LBPD said.
