Man hospitalized after stabbing in Rose Park neighborhood
In a separate incident, another man was shot in North Long Beach Sunday night, according to authorities.
Police are investigating a stabbing in the Rose Park neighborhood that left a man hospitalized Sunday night.
Long Beach police say a man was stabbed in the 1000 block of Obispo Avenue around 7:43 p.m.
Long Beach Fire Department personnel took the man to a local hospital, where he was treated for a stab wound to his upper body, authorities said. His wound was not considered life-threatening, they added.
Suspect information, circumstances and motive for the stabbing are all under investigation.
In a separate incident, a man was shot in the 5300 block of Atlantic Avenue around 7:50 p.m., police said.
Officers aided the man before LBFD personnel took him to a local hospital, where he was treated for multiple non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to his lower body, according to police.
The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived, police added.
Suspect information, circumstances and motive are also under investigation, according to the LBPD.
