A man was also stabbed in North Long Beach in a separate incident Monday night, authorities said.
Police arrested a homeless man who allegedly stabbed a girl Downtown Monday night.
Long Beach police say the 28-year-old man stabbed a girl who confronted him in the 100 block of Pacific Avenue around 9:25 p.m.
Long Beach Fire Department personnel took the girl to a local hospital, where she was treated for multiple stab wounds to her upper body, according to authorities. Her condition was not immediately known.
Police did not provide the name or age of the girl because sheβs a minor.
The suspect fled the scene prior to the arrival of officers, but they soon found him and arrested him without incident, police said.
The investigation into the stabbing is ongoing, according to the LBPD.
In a separate incident, a man was stabbed in the 1000 block of Market Street around 6:16 p.m., police said.
LBFD personnel took the victim to a local hospital for treatment of a single stab wound to his lower body, authorities said. His wound was not considered life-threatening, police added.
Suspect information, circumstances and a motive for that stabbing are all under investigation, authorities said.
