Police are investigating a shooting in West Long Beach Thursday afternoon that left two men injured, including one in critical condition.

There, an unknown suspect or suspects shot the men in the area and fled the scene, police said.
One man was taken by authorities to a hospital in critical condition, according to police, while a second man with gunshot wounds to the upper body took himself to a local hospital for treatment, authorities said.
Police did not give details on the condition of the second man.
