Woman dies in crash near El Dorado Park, police say
The woman, 86, had stopped her car in the intersection of Studebaker Road and Los Santos Drive when she was hit, according to authorities.

Police are investigating the death of a woman who died in a car crash near El Dorado Park Sunday afternoon.
The woman, identified as an 86-year-old Long Beach resident, was traveling westbound on Los Santos Drive in a 2015 Toyota Corolla around 2 p.m. when she came to a stop past the designated stop sign at Studebaker Road, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
Shortly after, a 2016 Chevrolet Colorado driven by a 45- year-old Long Beach resident traveling northbound on Studebaker Road struck the Toyota Corolla in the intersection, police said.
Long Beach Fire Department personnel pronounced the woman dead at the scene, according to authorities.
The driver of the Chevrolet suffered minor injuries, but remained on-scene and cooperated with the investigation before being transported to a local hospital, police added.
At this time, police said they do not believe speed, distracted driving or impaired driving were contributing factors in the collision.
The identity of the driver is being withheld pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, police said.
Police are asking anyone who saw the collision to call LBPD Collision Investigation Detail Detective Kevin Johansen at 562-570-7355.
