Woman arrested after allegedly stabbing man in Bluff Heights, police say
Another man was apparently stabbed by a woman in the St. Mary's neighborhood in a separate incident Thursday afternoon, authorities said.
Police arrested a woman who allegedly stabbed a man in Bluff Heights Thursday night.
Long Beach police say the woman approached the a man and then stabbed him "in an unprovoked attack" in the 3300 block of East Seventh Street around 8:19 p.m.
Long Beach Fire Department paramedics treated the man at the scene for a minor stab wound to his upper body, according to authorities. The man declined transportation to the hospital, police said.
Officers located the woman near the scene and arrested her, according to the LBPD.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing, police said.
A few hours earlier, an argument between a man and a woman near the intersection of Seventh Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue around 4:41 p.m. escalated when the woman stabbed the man, according to police.
The victim took himself to a local hospital, where he was treated for single stab wound to his upper body, authorities said. The man's wound was not considered life-threatening, police added.
The woman fled the scene prior to the arrival of officers, according to the LBPD.
That investigation is also ongoing, police said.
