As the weather turns crisp, Long Beach has a couple of spooky plays running and the legendary Dark Harbor festival returns.

Whether you're into spooky season or prefer your fall celebrations to be a little more mellow, we've got a round up of all types events going on this week in and around the city.

Here's what's going on this week:

Queen Mary Speakeasy (Sept. 19)

The Queen Mary will have a ghostly speakeasy filled with drinks and spooky stories. Each drink will accompany a frightening story. Tickets, which include 4 drinks, are $55. The event is aged 21+ and if you miss this week's event, there will be another one on Sept. 26. Ticket purchase and more information can be found here.

Coastal Country Jam (Sept. 21 and 22)

Marina Green Park will host a two-day country music festival with Thomas Rhett and Jason Aldean headlining. In addition to multiple stages and music all day, there will be food vendors, art and drinks. General admission single-day passes start at $175 (fees included). Parking will be available at Pike Place Garage or the Wells Fargo Building on Pine Avenue and Ocean Boulevard. More information can be found here.

The Pillowman show (ongoing until Sept. 28)

Long Beach Playhouse will run a horror thriller show by Martin McDonagh through Sept. 28. The show follows a writer being interrogated because of the gruesome content of their work after a serial killer is on the loose and children go missing. Tickets are $25 (plus fees). More events happening, including free things to do:

Tuesday

  • Artist Hana Ward will be at the Kleefeld Contemporary Art Museum at CSU Long Beach to give a free talk on Tuesday from noon to 1 p.m. It is part of the Tuesday Talk series which takes place almost every Tuesday with different artists.

Wednesday

  • Wood Coffee Co. hosts a weekly co-working space from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for people who identify as queer. A number of free tickets are available and the event is pay what you can. More information here.

Thursday

  • Seconds at PCH kicks off Thursday and is a 10-day food festival. Tickets are $10 and benefit the Long Beach Century Club. Find the full details here.
  • The Kleefeld Contemporary Art Museum at CSU Long Beach will host its fall exhibitions opening celebration on Thursday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Admission is free, but RSVP is strongly recommended. There will be tamales, art, music, a cash bar and more. The list of events at the museum can be found here.
  • Knights of the Round (Turn) Table returns to Beachwood Brewing on Atlantic Avenue this time listening and discussing Remain in Light by the Talking Heads.
  • Compound will debut a new art exhibition and has plenty of fall programming starting Sept. 19. Stay up-to-date will all the happenings here.

Friday

  •  Dark Harbor returns on Friday night. The festival will include mazes, live music, themed bars, on-board the Queen Mary experiences, food and more. It will run from Friday until Nov. 2. Tickets start at $39.99 and can be purchased here.
  • State of the Arts, a free family-friendly event, will take place at Altar Society this Friday at 6 p.m. The Arts Council for Long Beach will update people on all things arts in Long Beach. More information here.

Saturday

  • The Passion of Dracula, a new show playing on the Long Beach Playhouse's MainStage Theater will premier on Saturday and run through Oct. 19. Tickets ($35) can be purchased here.
  • LA Force's final home game of the season will take place on Saturday at Veterans Memorial Stadium at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for children, and free for children 6 and under.
  • Via Zaferia is a celebration of all things around the neighborhood including live performances, food and drink specials and more from 3 to 8 p.m. The Big Red Bus shuttle will be free to take you around the area and parking will be free at the Farmers & Merchants parking lot.   • There will be a huge costal clean-up effort on Saturday at Junipero Beach, Belmont Pier, the Peninsula, Mother's Beach, and the Seal Beach Yacht Club from 9 a.m. to noon. Bags and gloves will be provided, as well as a code for free parking. More information here.

Sunday

  • Learn ASL at Wood Coffee Co. on Sunday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tickets ($14.64) can be purchased here.
  • Compound will host a breathwork and sound bath event. Attendees are encouraged to bring something cozy for lying down, a mat, water, and a blanket. Tickets ($17.85) can be purchased here.
