The teen was in the 5900 block of Atlantic Avenue around midnight when he was shot, according to authorities.

Police are investigating a shooting in North Long Beach that left a teen boy hospitalized Thursday night.

Long Beach police say the teen was in the 5900 block of Atlantic Avenue around midnight when he was shot.

The teen took himself to a local hospital, where he was treated for multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body, according to authorities. The teen is in stable condition, LBPD said.

Officers located a crime scene, police added.

The motive, circumstances of the shooting and suspect information remain under investigation, police added.
