The stabbing happened in the 1800 block of Cedar Avenue just before 11 p.m., according to authorities.

Police are investigating a stabbing in the Wrigley area that left a man hospitalized Wednesday night.

Long Beach police say a man was in the 1800 block of Cedar Avenue around 10:56 p.m. when he was stabbed.

Long Beach Fire Department personnel took the man to a local hospital, where he was treated for a stab wound to his upper body, authorities said.

The man’s wound was not considered life-threatening, according to the LBPD.

The motive, circumstances of the stabbing and suspect information are under investigation, police said.
