Shooting in Washington School neighborhood leaves man dead, police say
The shooting took place around 11 p.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of East Pacific Coast Highway, according to authorities.

Police say they're investigating a shooting in the Washington School neighborhood Tuesday night that left a man dead.
Officers were called to the 200 block of East Pacific Coast Highway around 11 p.m. after reports of shots fired in the area, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
When the officers arrived they found a man with a gunshot wound to his upper body, police said. Long Beach Fire Department personnel rendered aid, but pronounced the man deadd at the scene, according to authorities.
Police did not identity the victim while the Los Angeles County Department of the Medical Examiner works to notify his next of kin.
Suspect information, motive and the circumstances that led to the shooting are all under investigation, the department said.
