Police are asking for the publicβs help in identifying a person of interest in the robbery and fatal shooting of a man in North Long Beach back in June.
Long Beach police say they responded to the Northpointe Apartments, located at 5441 Paramount Blvd., around 7:54 p.m. on June 27 following reports of a shooting. There, officers found Dajion Hunter suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body, according to the LBPD.
Both LBPD and Long Beach Fire Department personnel gave aid to Hunter, but he died at the scene, according to authorities.
LBPD detectives later determined the suspect had robbed Hunter before shooting him, police said.
Video surveillance footage released by the LBPD Wednesday showed an individual walking in the area near the Northpointe Apartments prior to the shooting.
Police described the individual as a Black man in his 20s or 30s wearing a light blue or teal hat, red shirt, light-colored zip-up hooded sweater, blue jeans and black shoes.
