UPDATE: Police find missing at-risk 16-year-old boy

Editor's note: At 6:55 p.m., the Long Beach Police Department reported that at-risk missing person Alexander Martinez was located safe and unharmed with the help of a community member. He has been transported home and reunited with his family.

Police are asking for assistance in locating an at-risk 16-year-old boy who went missing in Long Beach Thursday afternoon.
Alexander Martinez was last seen walking in the area of Aquarium Way and Bay Street at approximately 1 p.m. on July 17, according to the Long Beach Police Department. His destination is unknown, police added.
Martinez was wearing a black shirt, black pants and black sandals when he was last seen, police said.
He is 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs 130 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes, according to authorities.
Martinez is not carrying a cell phone or tracking device and has an unknown amount of money, police said. He also has a developmental disability, is non verbal and cannot care for himself, police added.
Long Beach police ask anyone who has seen him to call their Missing Persons Detail at 562-570-7246.
