Long Beach police are asking for the public’s help in finding a missing teenager who ran away from child protective services Thursday.

Rodjanae Harrell, 17, had been missing since Aug. 13, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

Long Beach officers found her Thursday, according to the department, with the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services taking her into custody around 4:36 p.m.

But at some point she ran away from DCFS, police said.

Harrell is known to frequent the Long Beach, Los Angeles and San Bernardino areas, though it’s unclear where she could be headed, police said.

Harrell was last seen wearing a neon green hoodie, black baseball shorts with white stripes on the bottom and slides, police said.

Police described her as being 5 feet, 2 inches tall and weighing 130 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes, they added.

Authorities ask anyone who may have seen Harrell to contact the LBPD at 562-570-7246.
