Police arrest second man suspected of fatal Long Beach assault
Brandon Brewington, 36, was one of two men who fatally assaulted 52-year-old Chamrong Sok on March 11, according to the LBPD.

A 36-year-old Long Beach resident has been arrested on suspicion of fatally assaulting a unhoused man back in March, police announced Thursday night.
Long Beach police said Brandon Brewington was one of two men who assaulted Chamrong Sok, 52, on March 11.
Police arrested another suspect, Thongsay Ky, 58, back in July.
Officers responded to a local hospital around 7:32 p.m. on the night of the assault and found Sok with injuries to his upper body, according to police.
At the time, police said Sok was "uncooperative in providing details of the incident," though he did tell officers that he had been assaulted "in a parking lot in the area of Anaheim Street."
Sok died of his injuries at the hospital on April 24, police said. A month later, on May 22, the Los Angeles County Department of the Medical Examiner ruled Sok's death a homicide, according to authorities.
During their investigation, homicide detectives identified Brewington as a suspect, police said. Brewington was already in custody on an unrelated charge, police added.
Brewington was arraigned for murder on Thursday, according to authorities.
Police earlier identified Ky, who is homeless, as a suspect in Sok's assault, and arrested him on July 2. Detectives believe both men were "involved in a physical altercation" with Sok, though motive remains under investigation, police said Thursday.
Police are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to call Homicide Detective Michael Hutchinson at 562-570-7244.
