Police arrest man suspected of fatal West Long Beach shooting
Police say Orlando Joel Villarreal, 41, of Long Beach killed 43-year-old Jesse Stiles on June 14.

A 41-year-old Long Beach resident has been arrested on suspicion of fatally shooting a man in West Long Beach last week, according to authorities.
Long Beach police said Orlando Joel Villarreal shot and killed Long Beach resident Jesse Stiles, 43, on June 14.
Officers responded to a call in the area of 17th Street and Santa Fe Avenue around 11:31 a.m. that day and found Stiles with a gunshot wound to his upper body, according to police.
Officers rendered aid to Stiles until Long Beach Fire Department personnel arrived and took him to a local hospital, where he died of his injuries, authorities said.
Homicide detectives later identified Villarreal as a suspect in Stiles's slaying, police said. Detectives located and arrested Villarreal a day after the shooting in Carson, police added.
Villarreal was booked for murder, and his bail was set at $2 million, according to the LBPD.
The motive remains under investigation, police said.
Police ask anyone with information regarding the shooting to call Homicide Detectives Juan Carlos Reyes and Jesus Espinoza at 562-570-7244.
