Police say they've arrested two people believed to be responsible for a series of thefts at retail stores in Long Beach throughout the past year.

Andy Pollard, 48, of Wilmington, and Keyilah Lacy, 25, of Compton are accused in at least 11 thefts that took place in Long Beach between July 2, 2023 and July 17, 2024, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

The two were taken into custody on July 18 after officers allegedly caught them trying to steal $6,700 worth of items from a store at the Pike, authorities said.

When officers searched their car, they found an additional $8,000 worth of stolen merchandise, according to police, who said detectives then tied them to the previous 11 thefts.

In total, police say Pollard and Lacy stole more than $59,000 worth of merchandise from stores in Long Beach and may be responsible for other thefts in the Los Angeles area.

Pollard and Lacy have since been charged with nine counts of theft and one count of organized retail theft, police said.
