Police are investigating a shooting in North Long Beach that left one woman injured Thursday night, authorities said.
The victim, according to Long Beach police, was in the area of 68th Street and Long Beach Boulevard around 11:52 p.m. when she was shot.
The woman took herself to a local hospital, where she was treated for a gunshot wound to her upper body that was not considered life-threatening, according to authorities.
Officers searched the area but were unable to locate a crime scene, police said.
The motive, circumstances of the shooting and suspect information are under investigation, according to the LBPD.
