Long Beach police say they responded to the 4900 block of Oregon Avenue around 11:27 p.m. following reports of a shooting. There, officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower body, according to the LBPD.
Long Beach Fire Department personnel took the man to a local hospital, according to authorities. His wound is not considered life-threatening, police said.
Motive, circumstances and suspect information for the shooting are under investigation, according to police.
