North Long Beach shooting leaves 1 man dead, police say
Authorities identified the victim as Rickie Taylor, 27, of Long Beach.

Detectives are investigating a shooting that left one man dead in North Long Beach Thursday, according to police.
Long Beach police said officers responded to a reported shooting in the area of Bort Street and Long Beach Boulevard around 11:16 p.m. and found a man with a gunshot wound to his upper body.
Officers rendered aid until Long Beach Fire Department personnel arrived and took the man to a local hospital, where he died of his injuries, according to authorities.
Police identified the victim as Rickie Taylor, 27, of Long Beach.
At this time, the motive and circumstances of the shooting are under investigation, police said.
