The Rancho, a one-day natural wine and jazz festival, will return to Ranch Los Cerritos this Sunday, July 28 from noon to 6 p.m.

Over 20 natural winemakers will be spotlighted at the event, giving festival goers a chance to sample their products. Natural wine is generally produced with organically grown grapes and fermented using native yeasts with low or little intervention during the fermentation process.

In addition to wine tastings, Minaret Records, an independent jazz label founded in 2019, will take over the Rancho stage with live performances. Minaret Records artists Outside World, chiquitamagic, and more are slated to perform.

Food vendors will also be at the festival, including Fluffy's Ice Cream, picnic baskets with vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options available from Mangette and Buvette by Buvons.

This is the festival's second year and was organized by Marie Delbarry. Delbarry, who moved from France to Long Beach a couple years ago, is the events director at natural wine bar Buvons, working closely with Buvons owner Alicia Kemper. The duo then became business partners to open Mangette, a cafe that opened late last year right next to Buvons and serves European-style coffee and a rotating, seasonal breakfast and lunch menu.

Special guest and chef Baptiste Trudel will create dishes to pair perfectly with curated wines and renowned sommelier Clovis Ochin will pour wines and offer his expertise at the festival.

Tickets are priced at $76.54 (plus fees) and include wine tasting and admission to the festival.

Rancho Los Cerritos is at 4600 Virginia Road.
