Motorcyclist dies in North Long Beach crash, police say
The man, 55, was riding a Honda CBR 900 near Long Beach Boulevard and 51st Street Saturday night when he lost control, according to authorities.

Police say they’re investigating the death of a motorcyclist who crashed near Long Beach Boulevard and 51st Street Saturday night.
The motorcyclist, according to the Long Beach Police Department, was traveling northbound on Long Beach Boulevard on a Honda CBR 900 at a high rate of speed around 5 p.m. when he lost control of the bike at 51st Street.
The motorcyclist then fell to the road before colliding with a parked vehicle, according to police.
LBPD officers rendered aid until Long Beach Fire Department personnel took over and transported him to a hospital, where he died of his injuries, according to authorities.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash and no other injuries were reported, police said.
At this time, speed is being considered as a contributing factor in the collision, according to the LBPD.
The man was only identified as a 55-year-old Long Beach resident as the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office works to notify his relatives.
