Police are investigating the death of a motorcyclist who went out of control and crashed into a parked car in West Long Beach early Saturday night.
Long Beach police say the man was riding a 2013 Triumph motorcycle, speeding eastbound on Pacific Coast Highway, when he lost control around 5 p.m. He then hit a vehicle parked on the south curb of PCH, police said.
Long Beach Fire Department personnel gave the man medical aid before taking him to a local hospital, where he died of his injuries, authorities said.
The man's identity is being withheld while the Los Angeles County Department of the Medical Examiner works to notify the next of kin, police said.
Police are asking anyone who may have seen the crash to call LBPD Collision Investigation Detail Detective David Dougherty at 562-570-7355.
This is the 21st traffic fatality reported by the LBPD in 2026.
