Man wounded in Wrigley neighborhood shooting refuses to cooperate with officers, police say
Police say they responded to a call about a shooting in the 200 block of East 25th Street just after 7 a.m.
A man was shot Thursday morning in Long Beach's Wrigley neighborhood, but refused to tell officers details about the crime, according to police.
Long Beach Police say they responded to a call about a shooting in the 200 block of East 25th Street just after 7 a.m.
But by the time they got there, whoever was responsible for the shooting and the victim had left the area, police said.
While investigating the scene, officers were made aware that a man had arrived to a local hospital with a gunshot wound to the lower body that was not considered life-threatening, police said.
The officers confirmed that the man was the person who'd been shot earlier in Wrigley neighborhood, but he refused to cooperate with the investigation, according to authorities.
