Man, woman assaulted by 3 attackers near the Queen Mary, police say
Another man was stabbed in a separate incident in the St. Mary's neighborhood, according to authorities.
Police say they're investigating an assault near the Queen Mary that left a man and woman hospitalized Friday night.
The man and woman were in the 1100 block of Queens Highway around 11:25 p.m. when they were assaulted by three men, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
During the assault, the male victim was stabbed by an unknown object, which caused non-life-threatening injuries, police said. The female victim also sustained a non-life-threatening injury from the assault, police added.
The victims took themselves to a local hospital, according to authorities.
Suspect identification is pending and the incident remains under investigation, police said.
About five hours earlier, an argument in the 1000 block of Long Beach Boulevard around 6:32 p.m. escalated when one of the men stabbed the other, according to the LBPD.
The victim was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
LBPD officers located a crime scene, but suspect identification is still under investigation, police added.
