James Foster was reported missing on Dec. 26, 2024, according to police.
A man who went missing from a Long Beach care facility in late-December has been found, according to police.
James Foster, 76, was last seen leaving a living facility in the 1000 block of East Fourth Street the morning of Dec. 26, 2024, Long Beach police said.
Police that day put out a notice asking the public for help finding Foster, who is in a wheelchair, has cognitive issues and trouble speaking clearly. He had been reported missing in the past and found in the surrounding Long Beach area.
Nearly a month had gone by when on Friday, Jan. 26, workers with the county Department of Public Social Services in Malibu found Foster safe and unharmed, authorities said.
Itβs unclear if Foster has been in Malibu since he was reported missing or if he traveled elsewhere.
