Man stabbed in Hellman neighborhood, police say
The stabbing happened in the 900 block of Rose Avenue early Friday morning, according to authorities.
Police are investigating a stabbing in the Hellman neighborhood that left a man hospitalized early Friday morning.
Long Beach police say the man was stabbed in the 900 block of Rose Avenue around 4:12 a.m. Friday.
Long Beach Fire Department personnel took the man to a local hospital, where he was treated for a stab wound to his upper body, according to authorities. His wound was not considered life-threatening, police said.
The suspect fled the scene prior to the arrival of officers, according to the LBPD.
Motive, circumstances of the stabbing and suspect information are all under investigation, police said.
