Man stabbed during argument near Belmont Brewing Company, police say

Long Beach police say they’re investigating a stabbing near the Belmont Brewing Company that left a man hospitalized Monday evening.

Two men were arguing in the area of 39th Place and Midway Street around 6:30 p.m. when one of them stabbed the other in the upper body, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

Authorities arrived at the scene and rendered aid to the victim before taking him to a local hospital for treatment, police said, adding that he is in stable condition.

No arrest has been made as the suspect fled the scene before police arrived, according to authorities. However, the two men appear to know each other, police added.
