Man stabbed during attempted robbery, Long Beach police say
Police say the man was walking near Pacific Coast Highway and Atlantic Avenue around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday when two men tried to rob him.
A man was stabbed Tuesday night during an attempted robbery along Pacific Coast Highway, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
Police say the man was walking near Pacific Coast Highway and Atlantic Avenue around 9:30 p.m. when two men tried to rob him.
A brief fight broke out where at some point, the man was stabbed in the upper body, police said.
Despite the efforts by the man to fend them off, the suspects managed to take off with his phone.
The man then took himself to a local hospital, according to police, who said his wound was not life-threatening.
