Man shot to death in Long Beach hotel room, police say
The shooting happened Thursday afternoon in the 4100 block of Willow Street, according to the LBPD.
Detectives are investigating a shooting at a Long Beach hotel that left a man dead Thursday afternoon.
Details about what led up to the shooting, such as a motive, are still unclear, but Long Beach Police say officers rushed to the 4100 block of Willow Street Thursday around 3:33 p.m. after getting reports of a shooting.
When the officers arrived, they found a man inside a hotel room suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body, police said.
He was taken by Long Beach Fire personnel to a local hospital where he died, police added. His identity was not immediately revealed as the Los Angeles Medical Examinerβs office works to notify his family.
