Man shot during argument near the Traffic Circle, police say
Another man was stabbed in a separate incident Saturday night in Belmont Shore, authorities said.

A man was hospitalized early Sunday morning after being shot in a parking lot near the Traffic Circle, according to police.
Long Beach police said the man was arguing with a male suspect around 5 a.m. in a parking lot in the 2200 block of Lakewood Avenue. At some point, the argument escalated and the suspect shot the man, police said.
The man took himself to a local hospital for treatment, according to authorities.
Police said suspect information and motive are under investigation.
Hours before, LBPD officers were sent to the intersection of Granada Avenue and Ocean Boulevard following a report of a stabbing around 11:37 p.m., police said. There, they found a man with multiple stab wounds to his upper body, according to the LBPD.
Long Beach Fire Department personnel took the victim to a local hospital, according to authorities. His wounds were not considered life-threatening, police said.
The stabbing motive, circumstances and suspect information are under investigation, according to police.
