Man hospitalized after stabbing at Downtown Metro station

A stabbing at a Downtown Metro station left a man hospitalized early Wednesday morning, according to police and media reports.
Long Beach police say an unknown suspect stabbed a man multiple times in the 400 block of Pacific Avenue around 5 a.m.
Long Beach Fire Department personnel took the victim to a local hospital, according to authorities. The man's condition was not reported.

Train service was suspended for about three and a half hours, according to social media posts from LA Metro. Shuttles were deployed to transport passengers between the Pacific and Anaheim stations, the agency said.
Commenters noted long waits for shuttles. Metro replied saying only one bus was in service. Train service resumed just after 9 a.m., Metro said.
The motive and circumstances of the stabbing as well as suspect information are under investigation, according to the LBPD.
