A man was hospitalized late Monday night after being shot somewhere in Long Beach, according to police.
The victim refused to cooperate with authorities, so the location of the shooting is currently unknown, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
The man took himself to a local hospital after sustaining a single gunshot wound to the lower body, police said after interviewing him around midnight. His wound does not appear to be life-threatening, they added.
The motive, circumstances and possible suspect are all under investigation, police said.
