Man fatally shot in North Long Beach, police say
Police say the man was shot near the Los Angeles Riverbed and the 91 freeway around 11:18 a.m. Wednesday.

Police said theyβre investigating the fatal shooting of a man in North Long Beach Wednesday morning.
The man was near the Los Angeles River and the 91 Freeway around 11:18 a.m. when he was shot in the upper body, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
Long Beach Fire Department personnel determined the man was dead at the scene, according to authorities.
The man was apparently homeless, police said. His identity is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin by the Los Angeles County Department of the Medical Examiner, police added.
At this time, the motive and circumstances of the shooting are under investigation, police said.
