Man dies in crash near CSULB, police say
A man lost control of his car and hit a wall on Seventh Street near Margo Avenue early Monday, according to authorities.

Police are investigating the death of a man who died in a car crash near Seventh Street and Margo Avenue early Monday morning.
The man was traveling westbound on Seventh Street in a Ford Mustang at a high rate of speed around 12:25 a.m. when he lost control of the vehicle and veered off the road, according to the Long Beach Police Department. The car then hit a wall, police added.
Long Beach Fire Department personnel pronounced the man dead at the scene, according to authorities. No other injuries were reported, police said.
Speed is being investigated as a potential factor in this collision, according to the LBPD.
The identity of the driver is being withheld while authorities notify the next of kin, police said.
