Man dies 4 days after North Long Beach crash, police say
The crash happened April 29 at the 6500 block of Atlantic Avenue, police said.

A man who suffered serious injuries when he was hit by a car in North Long Beach last month has died, police announced Friday.
Long Beach police say the man was riding a scooter in a marked crosswalk on Atlantic Avenue around 9:40 a.m. on April 29.
While the man was in the crosswalk, a 2019 Honda Accord, driven by a 19-year-old resident of Long Beach and traveling northbound on Atlantic Avenue toward Artesia Boulevard, failed to stop at a red light and hit the man on the scooter, police said.
Long Beach Fire Department personnel took the man to a local hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, according to authorities.
The driver of the Honda Accord remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, police said.
The man on the scooter remained hospitalized following the accident and, on May 3, died of his injuries, according to the LBPD.
At this time, speed is being investigated as a possible factor in the collision, police said.
The identity of the man is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin by the Los Angeles County Office of the Medical Examiner, according to police.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the collision to call LBPD Collision Investigation Detail Detective Efrain Pineda at 562-570-7355.
